Hello, 2026 and a whole new year of writing and editing challenges. I know it’s been a while since I updated here, but I’m back! I’m also raising my editing and coaching rates to be more inline with current standards and demand; new rates will go into effect on January 15 of this year, so get your queries in right away!
Meanwhile, I’m already committed for Norwescon over Easter weekend (April 2-5) and Squatchcon April 9-12 in Port Angeles WA. Come and see me!
Eee! I had the wrong time. This Saturday’s event with me and Tamara Kaye Sellman at Saltwater Bookshop in Kingston WA will start at 5 PM, not 3:30 PM as I had previously said. Still: a good time, a tasty bakery next door and plenty of writer shenanigans, I’m sure. Hoping to see you all there! Check out the Event Page for more info.
I have had to withdraw from Norwescon this year for personal and family reasons. This is no reflection on the convention or the organizers. It’s just a thing. Sorry I won’t be able to see all of y’all and talk about books and related insanity.
So, there’s been another update to my Norwescon schedule: My reading has been moved again (it’s just a timing issue) to the more-pleasant Friday at 7pm slot. So no longer on Thursday, but still the same time. The Event Page for Norwescon has been updated.
And now, I’m off to Squatchcon!

Pretty exciting stuff for me: teaching a Magic Systems Workshop at SquatchCon, as well as hosting a Writers Meetup there and speaking on some cool panels. Some small changes to a reading at Norwescon, and updates on the Left Coast Crime panels I’ll be on in April. Check it out!
So, due to some personal stuff, I had to ask for a change to my reading schedule at Norwescon. I am still going to read an excerpt from Storm Waters, but it’ll be Thursday night instead of Friday afternoon.
Change info: Reading (Storm Waters novel excerpt) Thursday March 28, 7:00PM-7:30PM in Cascade 3. Because this is later, the reading will be R-rated so, now you know.
