Kat Richardson lives in Western Washington, writing and editing Crime, Mystery, Science Fiction, and Fantasy. She is the award-winning and bestselling author of the GREYWALKER paranormal detective novels, and a freelance editor of genre fiction. As a former journalist and non-fiction editor, she has a wide range of publications on topics from technology, software, and security, to history, health, and precious metals. A lifelong fan of crime and mystery fiction, and noir films, she is also the author of the Science Fiction Thriller BLOOD ORBIT—winner of the 2019 Endeavour Award—under the pseudonym K. R. Richardson.
She is a member of International Thriller Writers, and a past-president of the Northwest chapter of Mystery Writers of America.
