Oh boy! Updates to the Appearances page! My UK publisher has set up a signing during my London week: I'll be at Murder One on Thursday May 15 from 5-6 p.m. Hope to see some of you there!
I've updated the gallery and book pages with info on Underground and Wolfsbane and Mistletoe--including cover pics and an excerpt from Underground. I hope I got everything right...
This is neat: I've just discovered the Amazon listing for Wolfsbane and Mistletoe--the Christmas werewolf anthology I contributed to that was edited by Charlaine Harris and Toni L.P. Kelner. The complete list of authors isn't on the listing, but it's really impressive (to me at least). Aside from Charlaine and Toni, (and me) there's also Donna Andrews, Keri Arthur, Carrie Vaughn, Simon R. Green, J.A. Konrath, Dana Cameron, Patricia Biggs, Dana Stabenow, Rob Thurman, Alan Gordon, Nancy Pickard, and Karen Chance. Should be a winner! And when I get my poo together, I'll post the cover to the gallery--along with the Underground cover and such like. Hurray!
Some updates have been made to the Appearances Page, including tour info for Underground, although some details are still in the air. However, my fabulous publicist at Penguin, Valerie Cortez, is busy nailing those down. The official release date is August 5 and I'll be popping up in several places on the West Coast to promote it, as well as a trip to Denver for WorldCon and a possible signing at The Tattered Cover bookstore.
Sadly, it looks as if the England trip will be short and hectic, so I'm calling on all English fans to give me suggestions for wonderfully creepy places to set parts of Greywalker #4. However, Jim and I will in London for about a week plus a bit here and there. Had some difficulty getting a hotel since the FA Cup final is being held at Wembly Stadium the weekend we'll be in town. Whoops....
Still beavering away on the novella and getting very excited about Greywalker #4.
Just a reminder that if you would like to be on my even mailing list, please go to my new Google Group: Kat Richardson News and sign up! Also, I'll soon be shifting to a new e-mail address for this site: kat(dot)rchrdsn(at)gmail(dot)com to avoid spammers. Please use the new address for contact until the site mail is updated.
Because people ask and because I'm having trouble with spammers using my e-ddress as their "from" address--again!--I've set up a google group for news and updates and will soon be changing the contact information on this site to reflect the new e-ddress and group, so if you want to sign up for automatic e-mail updates about my signing or convention schedule, appearances, and books, please go to my new Google Group: Kat Richardson News and sign up! And soon I'll be able to get my fan mail from the associated address: kat(dot)rchrdsn(at)gmail(dot)com. What fun!
(No, I'm not running out on my blogs, just want to make it easier for the people who would rather have updates come to them than check blogs and appearance lists constantly.)
I can haz Audio? Yes I can! Today I returned from a road trip to Portland, OR, with authors Mark Henry, Mario Acevedo, Caitlin Kittredge, Cherie Priest, and Richelle Mead to a pile of mail that included the contracts for recording and distributing the first three Greywalker novels on audio through Recorded Books LLC. I'm so happy! And on top of that, Caitlin is still racking up the sales with her new book Night Life, and Richelles's latest are due out soon, Cherie is kicking some ass with a new downloadable version of Four and Twenty soon to be available at Tor/Baen and Mario and Mark are buring up the shops with their wickedly funny, raunchy, sexy books, so things are good! Needless to say, I'll be updating the blogs with exciting pics and facts soon! And all this after a terrific weekend at Norwescon where I met still more cool folks and re-met a ton of friends. Does it get better? I don't think so.
This site was designed for the Firefox browser at a screen resolution of no less than 800x600, up to whatever you can stand, and works on any W3C-standards compliant browser. If you're using Internet Explorer, or an older browser, things may look a little odd, but it should still be readable and accessible. If not, drop me a note with a screenshot and tell me what's broken. This is some pretty complicated XHTML/CSS and I may have made an error or three when I cribbed the concept from Dave Riegel.
